Lead Line/Beginner Walk-Trot Trail
Open to all riders 11 years and under. May be shown English or Western. The safety of the exhibitors must be of primary consideration when judging this division. Exhibitors must enter the ring at a walk, riders may have an experienced adult holding the lead line. The horse must give the appearance of being a safe mount for this level. (Only one handler to be present in the ring with each rider) Trail Safety of the exhibitors must be of primary consideration when judging this class. Exhibitors must enter the trail area at a walk and must be lead by an experienced adult holding a lead line or rein attached to the halter or bridle. To be shown individually through a course of 6-8 obstacles at a walk only. Obstacle rails must rest flat on the ground. To be scored on the entry’s ability to negotiate the entire course efficiently, in a timely manner, without excessive hesitation, with smoothness and style. Ribbons 1-8

Driving Pleasure Carriage pleasure driving class is judged primarily on the performance and quality of each turnout. To be shown both ways of the arena at the walk, slow trot, working trot and strong trot. To stand quietly and to rein back (done in the line up)

Driving Working Class The Working class is judged primarily on the working ability of the horse (70%); a horse that is a pleasure to drive, calm, confident and obedient. The horse should be on the bit, as the class is called, “Working”. The remaining 30% is divided between the condition of the horse and fit of the harness and vehicle (20%) and appropriateness (for the vehicle) of the attire (10%).
