
Equine Massage Therapy Clinic sponsored by Barre Riding and Driving Club
On Saturday, May 16th, please join us for Equine Massage: Comfort & Connection, a full-day clinic (6 hours) of learning and practicing with your horse. Lisa Turcotte will teach each horse owners general massage techniques and where to use them on your horse, including:
- Effleurage
- Light Compressions
- Cross Fiber Friction
- Gentle Poll/Head Techniques
- Tail/Mane Sequencing
- Myofascial Release
- Reading "Yes/No" Signals
- When to Call a Professional
The teaching format will include lecture, a full-group demo, partner practice, and small-group (4-person/horse per pod) supervision of learned techniques.
Cost:
$135 BRDC members
$145 non-members
$25 BRDC auditors
$30 non-member auditors
To register for the clinic please send an email to barreridingclub@gmail.com and you will receive a reply email regarding available spots and payment information. There is space for just 8 participants. Many spots available for auditors.
Participants may trailer in their own horse. Pease note that in the registration email. A current Coggins will be needed if you are trailering a horse in. If trailering in, please arrive by 9:45am.

Lisa is a graduate from the Bancroft School of Massage with specialized focus on equine therapy. The knowledge and skills she acquired during her education have empowered her to provide comprehensive care and support to horses in pain, helping hem find comfort and restore their range of motion. To be held indoors. 10:00am to 4:30pm with 1/2 hour for lunch. Bring your own lunch. Drinks will be provided.
